The opening time of Jean-Paul's courses will depend on your exam date. The tuition phase opens on 1st of Jan (for June exam)/ 30th April (for September exam) / 1st July (for December exam) / and 1st October (for the March exam). Don’t worry if you plan to enrol after this: Jean-Paul can create a plan for you once enrolled.

 

ACCA materials are used throughout, and you will be provided with an ACCA approved Study Text and Exam kit.

 

This is ‘old fashioned teaching’ at its best, merged with modern delivery.

 

Your workplan for your tuition phase and revision phase will be referenced to the MAQ course platform. This is organised into topics each of which may include recorded tuition and revision videos, tuition and revision notes, relevant YouTube videos and ACCA articles, a tuition homework plan, numerous video debriefs of selected past exam questions and a Kaplan online study text and exam kit. You’ll know exactly what to do when, so you can focus on learning efficiently and passing the PM exam.

Specifically written notes, on which the HD videos are based. These include memory techniques and exam standard illustrations to enhance your learning experience. As you would in a classroom, you can print these notes and then follow-on screen as you are taken carefully through those notes.

Latest version for additional illustrations and background reading
A key backup for you to have, mainly for psychological value, as the notes provided have condensed this material into a more digestible format.
OT question Quizzes
to Exam standard
There are untimed online Objective Test (OT) question quizzes. These will be automatically marked and solutions provided on submission.
ACCA articles and YouTube videos ACCA articles relevant to each topic area are included within the relevant topic section, so you have all the information together for each syllabus area, making your study experience much more efficient.
End of Tuition Mock This is the final element of your tuition course and is designed to ease you into revision mode. This mock exam has been specifically designed to both give you early exam practice and to reinforce key topics learned in tuition.
End of Tuition Mock marking Marked scripts are returned within 48 hours of the end of your mock window.
Tutor Led Structured Revision
This is a structured sessional revision with specific completion dates
You revision phase consists of 10 'days' of up to 8 hours to include homework completion. The 10 'days' are then allocated to the 5 weeks of revision, and is followed by the specifically written mock exam.

Kaplan Online Revision Kit The Kaplan kit is used to source many past PM exam questions, as well as other exam standard questions, for the question debrief videos.
Selected PM Exam Questions accompanied by debrief videos Over 60 past PM Objective Test (OT) questions or Constructed Response (CR) questions for you to attempt. Each is accompanied by a video debriefing the question. Attempting questions, and then watching the tutor debrief them is a tough (celebrate your mistakes - every one is a learning opportunity!) but necessary bridge between learning the syllabus and knowing how to tackle the exam yourself.
Constructed Response Mini Exams

 

2 mini exams consisting of 2 x 20-mark timed Constructed Response (Section C) questions at the end of week 2, 3 & 4. These are marked to ACCA exam standard, with feedback on how to improve. This is a key part of recap and revision. Marked scripts are returned within 48 hours of the end of your mock window.
Revision OTQ tests
Section B case study questions
Section B timed homework questions. These are done online on the MAQ study site to time, and are automatically marked.
Revision OTQ Quizzes Included in the revision are untimed OTQ quizzes and timed consolidation quizzes. These are done online on the MAQ study site and are automatically marked.
Self-study Questions For each of the topic areas Jean-Paul has listed exam kit questions for self-study and marking. Jean-Paul will answer any queries you have about these questions.
End of Revision Test This is section A and B only and is done online on the MAQ study site. This will be automatically marked with feedback.
"36 hours of Questions" "36 hours of Questions" is the final practice workplan to do before and after your mock. The hours are split into question time and review time. The topics are clearly listed so you can be selective about what you need to practice.

The 36 hours is split into chunks so you can decide if you have 6 hours, 14 hours, 24 hours or 36 hours of time left.

Video Debriefs of the mock exam questions Mock exam question debrief videos cover both technical and exam technique issues and are available after each mock window closes.
Your script marked Your practice script is marked to exam standard with ‘feed forward’ as to how you can improve. Marked scripts are returned within 48 hours of the end of your mock window.
Guidance on final preparation Guidance on how best to prepare in your final days, both in terms of topics to cover and exam techniques to perfect. Highly relevant for your exam.
Key ACCA articles and examiner’s reports Those ACCA articles relevant to each tipped topic area are identified and the most recent exam reports. So you can be sure that you’ve covered material issued with the sanction of the examiner.
Access to kit mocks There are kit mocks available to complete. These are for self-marking.

Pass Guarantee terms and conditions:

To qualify for re-enrolment in the Platinum Package course (excluding updated Kaplan materials and the pass assurance element)  leading to the next available PM exam you must meet all of the following conditions:

  1. You must complete and score over 30% in all 3 mini exams on your revision course
  2. You must score at least 40% on your end of revision mock exam.
  3. You score at least 40% in the actual exam for the sitting in question and
    (a) email a copy of your acca results email to your tutor within one week of receiving it.
    (b) requesting enrolment under this Pass Assurance scheme.

Deferral policy

  • Please make any deferral request by email or by WhatsApp to JP
  • Deferral is only exceptionally allowed once the exam entry date for the relevant exam has passed
  • You can only defer once for free: a second deferral will be charged at 50% of the current course fee: no subsequent deferrals allowed.

Progression from Tuition to Revision

Progression to revision is contingent on adequate progress in tuition. If, in your tutor’s opinion, you are not making adequate progress on your tuition course then you will not be enrolled on revision. Instead, you will be deferred to the tuition course supporting the next exam sitting.  If this scenario repeats in the following sitting, then you will remain on the tuition course until that sitting’s exam, at which point your enrolment on the course will end with no fee remission.
